SURFER MAGAZINE VOLUME 3, NO. 2 (1962)

Forty-four years old and counting! Hard to believe this mag -- the first bi-monthly issue of Surfer -- is in such remarkably good shape for its age. (No offense to the 40-somethings out there...) Great old shots of Redondo Beach Breakwater, Honolua Bay, and South Africa litter the pages of this classic. Check out "Murphy and the Marines" by Rick Griffin on pp. 20-21. It seems Murphy had a plan for surfing Trestles back in '62... This magazine is in very good condition, at least 85 percent of mint. Spine is split one inch at top edge. Otherwise very light cover and spine wear with no pulling at staples and no staple rust. Complete and intact with no torn or missing pages and no cutouts. No water stains or moisture damage of any kind. Packaged in an archival-quality clear plastic sleeve with an acid-free mat backing board. Click Here for a closer look.
