"In this crowded world the surfer can still seek and find the perfect day, the perfect wave, and be alone with the surf and his thoughts."
This edition of THE SURFER is a 1973 reprint of the classic first SURFER Magazine first published in 1960 by John Severson. Severson worked on the project while he was filming his 1960 surf adventure "Surf Fever" in Hawaii and California.
Content includes "Toes on the Nose," Surfing for Beginners, Rincon and Hammond's Reef pictorials, Mickey Munoz's famous quasimoto sequence, plus big Waimea and Sunset.
This reprint, now more than 30 years old, is in near-mint condition. We rate this a Betty-plus, or about 90 percent of mint. Cover and spine show only very light wear. No pulling at staples or staple rust. No torn or missing pages and no cutouts. 36 pages in all. Complete and intact.
Packaged in an archival-quality clear plastic sleeve with an acid-free mat backing board.
