Ron Stoner captures a fiery sunset in this striking cover image from '69. Mickey Dora discusses the "Demise of Surfing" in a lengthy interview complete with charts and graphs. "When there's surf, I'm totally committed," he noted. "When there's none, it doesn't exist." Other content includes a George Greenough photo feature, "Original Surfcraft Patents," a French travel diary, "Animal On -- Animal Out" by Nat Young, and "Live Clean, Surf Clean, Shape Clean" by Dick Brewer. Plus "Foamies to Freaks" by Corky Carroll and "The Legend of Spyder Wills" by Drew Kampion. This issue is in very good or Betty condition, about 80 percent of mint. One vertical scratch on front cover as shown in scan. Some minor pulling at staples. Otherwise light cover and spine wear. Complete and intact with no torn or missing pages and no cutouts.
