SKATEBOARDER MAGAZINE VOLUME 1, NO. 1 (1964)

Long before Dogtown there was the The Quarterly SKATEBOARDER, a John Severson Publication. Rick Griffin's "The Well-Dressed Skateboarder" on pages 24-25 and "People You Meet on the Slopes" on pages 34-35 are absolute classics. Other content includes "Night Rallies," "Performance Plus," and "Wheelies."

This copy is in good to fair condition, about 60 percent of mint. All 50 pages are intact with nothing missing or torn and no cutouts. No writing, no water stains or moisture damage of any kind.  All pages do show signs of foxing from age.  The two center leaves are detached from the staples but they're there!  However, at this point - it's all about the cover.  And unfortunately, chips and cuts at all edges, bend/fold crease evident on the front and sadly, spine has been taped.  We only wish this copy could talk to tell us of all the young skateboarders that flipped through its pages over the last half century.  A very well-read issue, no doubt.

Packaged in an archival-quality clear plastic sleeve with an acid-free mat backing board.
