BRUCE BROWN'S "THE ENDLESS SUMMER" (1964)

Looking for an original Endless Summer poster in excellent condition? This timeless masterpiece featured the surfing adventures of Bruce Brown and Mike Hynson, who followed summer around the world in search of the perfect wave. According to Blackburn's Surf's Up: Collecting the Longboard Era, this was the first surf film to reach a national audience and is "probably the most sought-after classic surf memorabilia from the 1960s." This stunning example is in excellent or near mint condition, at least 95 percent of mint. Colors are bright and crisp. No tack holes, creases, tears, or tape marks. No moisture stains or water damage of any kind. No insect damage. This is as nice as you will find anywhere -- we guarantee it! This particular showing -- sponsored by the Kahuna Surf Club and personally narrated by Bruce -- was the only Coos Bay showing, for you die-hard Oregon collectors up north. This poster includes extensive documentation, including copies of newspaper articles promoting the screening, a photocopy of a newspaper photo of Bruce Brown and the Oregon crew at a local surf contest, a copy of a letter from Bruce Brown Films announcing Bruce's appearance, and a copy of an unused ticket from this showing. Measures approximately 11 inches wide by 17 inches tall. Packaged in an archival-quality clear plastic sleeve with an acid-free mat backing board. From the Mike Jipp Collection.
