"So anyhow, I'm coming across the Point on this thing and I was completely locked in. I couldn't pull out...I couldn't do anything. And here's this jerkus swimming toward his board on the beach, with his tiny head sticking out of the water...Well, I came across and my skeg went into his back like a tomahawk." (Mickey Dora...in his own words.)
This is an extremely rare issue of Surf Guide Magazine from November 1964, featuring the famous Mickey Dora and company cover. Lots of vintage Malibu pics and interviews with Dora, Dewey Weber, Dave Rochlen, and Kemp Aaberg, among others. Also a South Shore pictorial and the search for an uncrowded Malibu.
