We bet you haven't seen this's a very rare Endless Summer movie program from 1964. The booklet features biographies of Bruce Brown and Mike Hynson, along with anecdotes about the film and great period advertisements from the mid-60s. Here is an excerpt from an interview with Bruce Brown: Q. Why did you choose the title and the idea of The Endless Summer? A. "Well, as you know, when it's winter in the northern hemisphere, it's summer in the southern hemisphere and vice versa. So I felt the ultimate thing for a surfer...would be to have an everlasting summer; in other words, to follow the summer around the world as it moved from the northern hemisphere into the southern hemisphere and back to the northern hemisphere again -- this would give you 12 months or as long as you wanted, really, of continuous summertime." We rate this in Betty condition, or about 80 percent of mint. Spine is split about one inch at top edge. Minor wear on cover and spine as shown in scan. No torn or missing pages. No cutouts. 18 pages. Measures approximately 8 1/2 inches by 11 inches. Packaged in an archival-quality clear plastic sleeve with an acid-free mat backing board.
