SURFING HAWAII VOLUME 1, NO. 1 (1964)

Surfing Hawaii is a magazine "devoted to promoting and developing the sport." Though short lived (only two issues ever published), these are highly sought after among hard-core collectors. This issue includes a Kealoha Kaio profile, history of the Waikiki Surf Club, coverage of the State Canoe Paddling Championships, and "The Duke: Worldwide King of Surfers." This magazine is in very good or Betty condition, about 80 percent of mint...really quite remarkable condition for its age. Very light wear to cover and spine with no pulling at staples. Minor ink pen marks (numbers) scrawled on back cover. No torn or missing pages and no cutouts. Packaged in an archival-quality clear plastic sleeve with an acid-free mat backing board.
