THIS IS THE REAL DEAL!
"In this crowded world the surfer can still seek and find the perfect day, the perfect wave, and be alone with the surf and his thoughts."
This is the classic first SURFER Magazine published in 1960 by John Severson. Severson worked on the project while he was filming his 1960 surf adventure "Surf Fever" in Hawaii and California. It was subsequently reprinted in 1973 and 1985, for the Silver Anniversary Issue.
Content includes "Toes on the Nose," Surfing for Beginners, Rincon and Hammond's Reef pictorials, Mickey Munoz's famous quasimoto sequence, plus big Waimea and Sunset.
This issue is in very good or Betty-minus condition, about 75 percent of mint. Light to moderate cover and spine wear, with some minor wrinkling as shown in scan. Some pulling at staples. Minor stains affect front & back covers. Centerspread is loose. Interior pages in very good condition. No torn or missing pages and no cutouts.
Packaged in an archival-quality clear plastic sleeve with an acid-free mat backing board.
